Parnaby Cyclones works in association with a leading European manufacturer to supply a range of filter plate presses within the UK. These presses work at pressures up to 15bar with inbuilt PLC controls. They use a patented cake discharge system that negates the need for lime addition to aid press emptying thus reducing cycle times.
• Technologically advanced system with full automation for waste water clarification and sludge dehydration
• Patented cake discharge system
• Capacities up to 8,559 litres
• Can be used in: food, farming and agriculture; mining and mineral processing; chemical, textile and paper

The filter plate press is a batch operation (unlike the filter belt press which operates continuously). Typically each cycle takes one hour. First filter bags are placed between the plates. Next the sludge is pumped through the middle till it fills all the cavities. Then the ram pushes the plates together closing the rubber seals. The pressure is increased (up to 15bar) and this forces the water through the filter bags and through the holes in the plates so it trickles down into the filtrate launder. Finally the pressure is released and the plates are pulled apart to let the dry filter cake drop out. The opening ram turns the filter bags inside out to ensure no filter cake remains.
