Drum washer and self contained drum washer at Brightlingsea, UK

Canada

Commissioned with a 200TPH Dense Medium Drum plant plus a full Closed Circuit Effluent Treatment Plant on behalf of Northern Energy and Mining (NEMI) at its Trend Mine site in British Columbia.

This plant was designed to comply with local standards governing seismic loadings and Canadian national standards for electrics and welding etc.

Use was made of bolted modules to improve shipping, the plant being shipped just 18 weeks after receipt of NEMI’s order.

a 130TPH Dense Medium Cyclone Plant was also installed at the same site.

Parnaby Cyclones was the turn-key contractors for a £1.2 million investment by Celtic Energy in a fine coal recovery plant that was installed at its Onllwyn site near Neath. The plant features a froth cell where <1mm coal particles combine with Kerosene to allow separation by floatation to occur, the recovered product being dewatered on a 36m2 vacuum belt.

London

McGrath Bros of Hackney added a full Parnaby Closed Circuit Effluent Treatment Plant alongside the new washing facility at its East London site. The design and layout of this plant required special attention due to the severe lack of both space and clean water available on site, making the reuse of process water paramount.

The plant includes the first Filmac plate press with its unique cake discharge system to be sold in the UK.

Two 100TPH Dense Medium Cyclone Plants were installed on behalf of our client Fraser Alexander, near Whitbank, close to Johannesburg, where a Parnaby 100TPH Mobile Dense Medium Washery was also commissioned.

Each of the 100TPH Semi Mobile Dense Medium Cyclone plants contains a 6’ x 16’ desliming screen, a single 700mm diameter Dense Medium Cyclone, a combined product and discard screen, a 8’ x 16’ drain and rinse screen, a 5 foot long magnetite separator with a 375mm Natural Medium Cyclone discharging onto a separate 4’ x 8’ SDLH screen for fines recovery and dewatering. Common ‘clean coal’ and discard conveyors are used. A single MCC located within a cabin sited between the modules keeps the site footprint small. The use of the mobile / modular design reduces the amount of foundation work required and allowed installation and commissioning of both modules to be completed within weeks of arriving on site.

Then in May 2007 Parnaby Cyclones completed the trial assembly of a new coal washing plant which was then dispatched to South Africa for on-site commissioning in July.

Pakistan

This dense medium drum system, designed and built by Parnaby Cyclones for Fateh Mills in Pakistan, processes up to 50 tonnes per hour.  It processes raw coal from open cast mines to produce a product with a 24% ash content suitable for local power stations.

Brightlingsea, UK

A land de-contamination project working with the leading land remediation contractor Land and Water Remediation Ltd.

Within eight weeks of receiving an order, we modified an existing drum washer and created a 3metre wide self contained mobile press to meet the client's objectives of washing and separating all aggregates, sand and soils excavated to permit their reuse on site. In addition, a twin screw mixer was used to encapsulate the contaminates contained within the press filter cake in a cementatious mix for burial again on site. An oil water separator was used to recover the oils released by the washing process, with Parnaby's and Land and Water's staff working alongside throughout the 18 week contract.
