THICKENER/CLARIFIER CONES

Operation

Effluent is pumped from the sump to the top of the cone. A polymer flocculant is added (2) which causes fine particles to bind together and settle rapidly. Clear water overflows from the top of the cone (5) into a storage tank. The sludge at the bottom of the cone (which usually contains 30 - 35% solids) is pumped to a conditioning tank.

ConeThe Parnaby thickener/clarifier cones have a special profile and an internal moving rake designed to achieve the rapid settlement of solids in water. We make a range of cones from 3m to 20m diameter capable of throughputs of between 30 amd 1,000 cubic metres per hour.

Benefits

•  High throughput,
•  Low flocculant requirement,
•  Modular design,
•  Easily assembled,
•  Does not need to be bolted to foundations,
•  New cones can be added to existing systems.
