Log Washers
Logwashers are designed to remove heavy or plastic clays from aggregates. The very robust Parnaby logwasher can
clean material with up to 20% clay contamination with throughputs of up to 200 tonnes per hour.
Operation
The logwasher comprises an inclined trough fitted with two counter-rotating shafts with high-tensile
blades. The rotating shafts mill and wash the raw material creating a lot of turbulence.
As in a screw separator, the heavier aggregate material is pushed forwards to the discharge chute. The
water and broken down clay particles overflows the rear of the logwasher.
